This is a calabash-shaped kettle with its mouth partially broken, having a twisted vine-shaped handle and an outwardly curved spout. The spout is hexagonal and attached to the body almost vertically. The lower body is decorated with inlaid patterns of peony, lotus flower, and their stems and leaves. The junctions of the spout and the handle to the body are decorated with octagon patterns, which are inlaid with black and white clay. The main patterns of peony and lotus flower are surrounded with engraved cloud patterns. The cloud patterns around the spout are adorned with two-layered engraved lozenge-shaped sepal pattern. The glaze shows green and yellowish green but evenly covers the ewer. The inside of the flat foot is dug out slightly. There are six traces supported with fireproof sandy clay doughs during firing.
