This is a celadon brush holder with only the half of its original form remaining. Both ends of its oblong body are decorated with lotus buds, which are engraved and embossed of the stems and leaves in detail. The sides of its body are openworked with vine patterns. On the upper side are the three holes for a brush to be inserted, around which round petals are engraved. The gray clay is well-refined, despite the tiny pores. The greenish blue glaze evenly covers the whole body including the internal surface. Tiny cracks spread out all over the body with glossiness. The legs serve as the bases similar to air holes, and their front and sides are openworked with elephant patterns. The bottom shows eight trails of firing supported with silica stone.
