July 2007, a piece of celadon that an octopus lifted became the beginning of marine excavation of Dae Island, Taean. Taean Peninsula, Chungnam is famous for its rough current. As a result of Dae Island marine excavation, more than 20 thousand pieces of jade green color celadon and part of a ship body was recovered. Especially, the recovery of cargo documents on wooden tags will become very precious historical data. Although the follow up work of Taean Excavation is not finalized yet, to respond to the interest and passion for Taean marine excavations, we have put together a special exhibition on excavation result in advance. The special exhibition is planned with a focus on the porcelain which is the major shipment and exhibits the wooden tags that hold precious keys to the place of production and the consignee.
