This is a celadon prunus vase that used to contain sesame oil. Below the cup-shaped mouth, a short shoulder begins to extend sidewards and becomes rounded, meeting the body. The globular body gradually narrows downwards and then slightly widens at the bottom. The foot is inward. The patterns roughly consist of three layers, all of which are inlaid. The neck has patterns of Anuruddha; the bottom has lotus petals and fret; and the body is decorated with chrysanthemum, peony, bamboo, reed, willow tree, and hibiscus. Each of the flowers/trees is within one of the six flower-patterned windows divided by furrows. The vase was covered with greenish blue glaze, wiped out of the glaze at the ground plane, and supported with ten fireproof sandy clay doughs for firing. The whole vase is significantly clear without tiny cracks or impurities, but the glaze at the base was rolled up, revealing the clay at several spots. A bamboo tag (No. 23) was hung around the vase’s neck, saying “重房都將校吳文富 宅上眞盛樽封.”
